My name is Beth and I am a 36 year old runner, home cook, wife of a volunteer firefighter, and vice president of our fire department's auxiliary. I work as a project coordinator for a mechanical contractor.
I am married to a sweet and wonderful man who I've often referred to as "he-of-the-good-ideas". He has all kinds of "good ideas" and while many of them are straightforward, sometimes those good ideas mean strategic budgeting and holes in my house. He is a member of the volunteer fire department in our village and I am deeply proud of him and the other volunteers who spend countless hours keeping our community safe.
We have a spoiled dog who keeps us laughing and an 19 year old calico cat who doesn't give a damn about much other than her food bowl.
Three years ago we bought our dream home in the country; a white Cape Cod style with window boxes, a red front door and lots of birch and maple trees around us. I have a studio space where I can spread out all my crafting/sewing projects and putter at them to my heart's content and he-of-the-good-ideas has a large detached garage where he spends a lots of time working on our vehicles.
I love wandering around our property digging in the flower beds and the perennial and vegetable gardens... praying and willing the flowers to be beautiful and the crops to be bountiful.
